That is a nice feature indeed; it takes the stress out of getting familiar with a new operating system (I've always used Linux/*BSD for years). I took advantage of it yesterday when I was poking about and installing other packages (I was trying to build the gst-plugins), and noticed that somehow python got whacked, but that's another issue...
It would be nice to be able to upgrade to the newer builds, but I think my biggest fear is encountering these same problems when the next release comes out. With that being said, I've tried upgrading my bios and restoring to pretty much factory settings (save for enabling virtualization), and still get the same results. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
