[osol-help] opensolaris StarOffice issue

We have set our own read-only flag for a file. The file can now only be read in 
any editor, no other operations allowed. But we are unable to open the file in 
StarOffice(even for reading).
It gives an error 'Input-Output error...'
Why is it so? What should be done to overcome this issue?
