I'm not really an expert on the subject but can you post a bit more information about these two dell system.
Also are you having more than one os on those machine? Finally, I had some problem once when updating Solaris and had to fix the grub boot menu. If you can access you drive either from a single user console or by mounting it from the 2008.05 live cd can you check the grub boot menu file : /rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst Someone more experienced than me might be able to provide more assistance. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
