Installing on Virtual PC 2007 sp1 seems to be making life difficult for yourself. Would you not be better using Virtualbox:
www.virtualbox.org It is free for home users under the PUEL licence. Business users would have to check the licence. There is an open source version for Windows also but you would have to compile it yourself. Unless of course there is a specific reason why it must be Virtual PC 2007 sp1.
