I don't think so. Just wait long enough - maybe an hour or more. There was a reported bug about pkg indexing at the last moment - I had the same when installing under VMWware ESX3i v3.5 - see http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=81437&tstart=0 (I should have posted this message in the "Help" forum instead...).
Get a terminal window and check periodically with df the amoutn of disk space used on the target - you will see it will change sloooooowly... Eventually it will succeed.
