Try downloading the dtrace toolkit. It's got a bunch of pre-fabricated dtrace scripts that should be pretty useful to most sysadmins. Check out the following links:
http://blogs.sun.com/jimlaurent/entry/dtrace_toolkit_simplifies_solaris_diagnostics http://www.brendangregg.com/dtrace.html http://opensolaris.org/os/community/dtrace/dtracetoolkit/ If you want to try the Dtrace toolkit and don't want to spend a lot of time messing around trying to install stuff. Try downloading Milax: http://www.milax.org/ Milax is a lightweight OpenSolaris distribution based on an XFCE desktop (instead of a GNOME or KDE desktop). All you have to do to try out the dtrace toolkit is download the Milax iso file, burn it on to a CD, then boot your computer up from the live CD and then you've got the dtrace tool kit ready to go. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
