Yes, bcme0 exists. the ifconfig -a lists the interface with the right settings
I can even ping by the static IP or hostname. The Java desktop Network GUI lists it .. and I can even configure it from there. Webmin can also see it. I would appreciate if I can do networking without a domain and DHCP. It is really frustrating since my SXDE is working well.
