I installed unrar from blastwave (see link below): http://www.blastwave.org/packages.php/unrar
and it works perfectly at the command line. Just use ln -s to make a symbolic link from unrar to a directory that is somewhere in your path variable (echo $PATH at command line to see these directories) and you should be able to type in unrar anywhere at the command line and it should work. Important Note: I installed this back in May 2008 using the specialized "pkg-get" command which you download and install from Blastwave that I think works in all versions of Solaris after Solaris 8. I don't trust the IPS repository at Blastwave yet. I just recently tried to install lsof from the IPS repository at blastwave and I think it might have possibly somehow hosed my IPS package management system because I'm getting python errors when I try to run it. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
