Hi Folks, Is it possible to pre-set the name the new BE that a "pkg image update" will create? I prefer to keep my BE's named in alignment with the releases (ie opensolaris_snv-99) rather than opensolaris-1/2/3/ etc.....
So far I have been doing this by booting off cd after the upgrade and using beadm rename. This is because it seems not possible to do the rename of your running BE or of the one you are activating upon next reboot. I was hoping there is a simpler mechanism to align my BE names with the release names.... Any assistance would be appreciated. Regards Rep -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
