Or, > when you insert the card after boot (in case this was > possible), what does dmesg say about it ? Are you not using Web , disable it in your wireless router: If you don't use WEP and want to connect to whatever WLAN available, then all that's left to do is starting dhcp: devfsadm /etc/hostname.ral0 ifconfig ral0 unplumb ifconfig iwi0 plumb ifconfig iwi0 dhcp
If your WLAN requires WEP authorization, then you need to download and install the wificonfig utility (v0.2). After that, you'll need to create new profile for your WLAN with the following commands: # wificonfig -i ral0 createprofile office essid=ssid encryption=wep wepkey1=wepkey # wificonfig -i ral0 connect office # ifconfig ral0 dhcpGo to wificonfig web page for more details. i.e: devfsadm /etc/hostname.ral0 ifconfig ral0 unplumb wificonfig -i ral0 scan wificonfig createprofile mynetwork essid=my\;wireless;\network encryption=wep wepkey1=1234567890 ifconfig ral0 plumb wificonfig -i ral0 connect mynetwork See http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop/wireless/ral/ This message posted from opensolaris.org
