Because sendmail was added to Solaris so very very long ago that
package names were still limited to 9 characters - with 4 taken
up by SUNW, and one by the user/root suffix, very many abbreviations
had to be taken.

Part of the IPS transition plan is a massive package renaming and
refactoring, to more usable names and package boundaries.
