Still having this issue. I call ssh into the box and kill gdm, restart it, and still have the same problem. Also, I took a look at dmesg and see a line that says: gdm-binary[827]: [ID 702911 daemon.warning] WARNING: gdm_slave_session_start: Execution of PostLogin script returned > 0. Aborting.
This line prints for each time that I enter my username / password, so obviously this is the message that I should be looking at to figure out the problem. Question is, what can I do? I'm not sure what the PostLogin script is that is returning > 0.. and is that greater than 0 and gdm is expecting a 0? Is there a way I can look at some log that will give me more details on what is going wrong? Thanks!
