Still having this issue. I call ssh into the box and kill gdm, restart it,
and still have the same problem. Also, I took a look at dmesg and see a line
that says:
gdm-binary[827]: [ID 702911 daemon.warning] WARNING:
gdm_slave_session_start: Execution of PostLogin script returned > 0.
Aborting.

This line prints for each time that I enter my username / password, so
obviously this is the message that I should be looking at to figure out the
problem. Question is, what can I do? I'm not sure what the PostLogin script
is that is returning > 0.. and is that greater than 0 and gdm is expecting a
0? Is there a way I can look at some log that will give me more details on
what is going wrong?
