Your question may not provide enough information for a helpful
answer.

Please describe or consider the expected use, growth of use, etc.
Which is more important, cheap or good? Expandible? Workstation or server?
Support contract or take your chances? Availability and support in your
location?

If you want x86 (which has the advantage of running a number of other
well supported OSs*, not to mention being able to run them as virtual
guests under VirtualBox or xen, check the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL)
at http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/
Make sure that you pick the appropriate link on there (OpenSolaris vs
Solaris 10). And pay particular attention to check that the network,
storage, and graphics hardware would be supported.

If you want SPARC, there's Sun or Fujitsu (or a Tadpole laptop); can't
think of any others at present.

* yes, I know some Linux or *BSD distros run on SPARC too, but I think
that not all definitions of "well supported" would apply going that far
away from the mainstream.
