I was very much looking forward to installing 2008.11 but the LiveCD just reboots before reaching the desktop.
I've tried installed 2008.05 (worked) and upgrading to 2008.11, but upon restart it just keeps rebooting. I added -kv as suggested to kernel options and there are a lot of kernel messages but it reboots before I can read it all. The machine is a T5400 Dell Workstation (Quad Xeon). This reboot issue prevents me from using it. I also tried disabling hdaudio just in case it was that, but same reboot happened. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
