i have this kind of sound hardware on my asus f3ja. sound works ONLY when i have speaker jack plugged in, and ONLY from internal laptop speakers :)
i had this problem in windows/linux for 2 years, but sound was coming simultaneously from internal and external speakers. not long ago, i reinstalled drivers for my winXp installation, and all went fine. so, what i`m trying to say - you are not alone, this audio hardware is renown for it`s bugs :) -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
