I have spent a little over a day going through all of the various threads and trying the solutions to have 2008.11 operate on a Dell T7400. I have exhausted them all. I can't even get the machine to boot. I know that a bug report was filed, and accepted as a bug. My question is: Is there a time frame to repair the bug and make it available for affected 2008.11 users? I'm not impatient, I simply have a system I have to deliver to a client soon, and I'd like to make OS 2008.11 as the base OS. Frankly, this serious of a bug (broken kernel) has me very nervous about sending this system out, wondering if the next release is going to break it. No flames intended, no one's upset....Being new to OS, I don't the schedule for repairing and releasing severe bugs. Seems like in the forums, I am not alone in this issue.
