I think you're supposed to use the pkg-get utility to install software from blastwave in Solaris 10 or SXCE or SXDE. See this link if you are a Solaris 10 or SXCE user:
http://www.blastwave.org/howto.html Otherwise if you are on OpenSolaris 2008.05 or OpenSolaris 2008.11 you can install it by adding the blastwave IPS repository using the "pkg set-authority" command then using the "pkg install" command to install the packages that you want.
