This RAID controller is not hardware RAID - the RAID is done in software by the controller's BIOS as the system boots, then by the driver once the OS boots. Usually there are only Windows drivers for the RAID function, however the dmraid project on Linux also does RAID drivers for various "fake raid" devices - probably including this one.
You therefore cannot use the RAID function of this controller on Solaris at present, short of writing your own driver. Cheers Andrew. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
