Hi again. I must correct the previous post. Experimentation showed that it not the sound card the problem but something different, i.e. the boot process hangs randomly when loading a device. It can be the mouse, the network card, USB or something else I could not identify. There seems to be no reason for this behaviour and in no way I was able to figure out why sometimes this happens with a device or with another.
