hmm, I tried to turn the power management off but the ACPI Suspend type available for selection are S1 (POS) or S3 (STR) and these are the only two options available to me. I cannot turn the ACPI off. Both options result in the same error and the PC responds the same way. Needless to say I cannot install or run any commands for debugging. OR I have missed something. I tried to run the commands from the "command prompt line" available from the main menu when installing. That didn't work though, I only have a limited number of commands available to me from the instillation/command line... It sounds like I'm overlooking the obvious... I have yet to check for a newer bios but the PC is brand new... 2.5 weeks old... But I will check that tomorrow This message posted from opensolaris.org
