Hello,
I am trying to install Nevada b69 or b70 on my PC (Asus P5VD1-X (PT880Ultra
Chipset))), 320 Gb brand new IDE HD.
I end up with the following error messages:
ERROR: Could not create Fdisk partition table
ERROR: Could not label disks
ERROR: Could not update disks with new configuration
ERROR: System installation failed
The first times, I was using the whole disk (320Gb), I suspected by then a
possible issue with the 48bits LBA barrier (the 128Gb barrier), then I tried
with a single partition of 127Gb and I got.... The same error messages...
I checked the BIOS function, I did not find any 48 bits LBA mode or something.
The mobo is from last year with the latest BIOS update, so I suppose the
support is included.
I don't know if Solaris 11 supports this 48 bits LBA mode (I don't even know
if this is the reason to the problem).
I am sitting at the moment next to the machine, I can try to provide more
information about its state, as long as I am explained what to do... ;)
Any help is of course warmly welcome
Daniel
