[osol-help] How to build a static version of C Library?

I am running OpenSolaris under SIMICS (simulator). Under this environment I 
would like to be able to run programs that are statically linked with the 
library to avoid bothering with relocation issued. This would greatly help me 
in finding correct program counters for debugging.
