Hello All,

I've just downloaded the last ISO of opensolaris and I am trying to install it
om my notebook, an Positivo Z896, that' s a clone of Clevo M540SS:

Chipset : SiS M672 + SiS 968
Display 14.1" WXGA (1280x800) TFT LCD
Two 200pins SODIMM sockets, supporting DDRII 667
Expandable memory up to 4GB, depends on 512/1024/2048MB SODIMM Module
Video Controller SiS M672 Integrated
High preference 3D/2D Graphic accelerator
Shared memory architecture, up to 256MB
Support Microsoft? DirectX? 9.0
Support Vertex Shader 2.0 and Pixel Shader 2.0
Wireless: RTL8187B

and others...

I have installed it Ubuntu and the default factory Vista Starter Edition.

The problem is that I boot the live CD, choose the first option in GRUB, and it
hangs after the license message. Just 3 lines of messages. After that, does
nothing.

After searching a little, I tried the -B intel-iommu=no option. Didn't work.
I also tried the -kd option to see the messages, but first it frooze after
trying to load the pciehpc module. Sometimes I get a kernel panic, and even
with -kd Ii freezes...

I don't know what else to do, I 'd really like to test opensolaris on my
notebook...

thanks...
