I have installed OpenSolaris 2009.06 on an x2270 with a service processor. When the machine boots after the install, only the text console login is displayed. When I log in and look at the services (svcs -a), I can see that gdm is started. It does not appear that any services failed to start.
I mention the service processor because I found a similar (same?) issue on the indiana forum: http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=102017&tstart=0 In that thread, Alanc noted that the X server was running on the service processor. How would I make the X server start on the console instead of the service processor if this is the problem? BTW, I responded to the other thread, but I thought I would create this thread in the OpenSolaris forum since I am using 2009.06.
