Upgrading using the package manager (update all) creates a snaphot before upgrading so you can roll back to the previous version if you need / want to.
After rebooting, you get the choice list for the OS level you want to boot on. I watched a video of upgrade 2008.11 to 1009.06 before I did this upgrade on my machine, not sure you can find such video for your OS level... -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
