Hi, I'm researching fileserver options and I am wondering whether anyone has
had success with installing Opensolaris, or SXCE or the developer build on a
Dell Poweredge T410 or R410. It sounds like the T410 and R410 share the same
hardware, though I'm planning to get the T410 with a Xeon E5504.

It looks like there have been some compatibility issues with the getting X to
start when using the integrated Matrox MGA G200ew video on these two links:

- Problems with Matrox G200ew on a R710:

- Problems with Matrox G200ew on a Supermicro server:

Here is some additional hardware information I was able to find. Dell's
specsheet only mentions the Intel 5500 Chipset and Matrox G200 video. However,
Novell.com has some more detailed specs:

Broadcom BCM5716 NetXtreme II Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
Dell Integrated SAS 5/iR (LSISAS1068) RAID Controller
Intel Integrated 82801JR (ICH10R)
Matrox MGA G200eW

Anyway, I'd appreciate any information about whether whether these issues are
still significant or if they have been fixed.

Thanks,
Lucas
