Sean, I found a way before your reply. If I open the desktop icon & choose 'copy disc', the next screen shows me the file name: '/dev/rdsk/c8t0d0s2'. Thanks for the reply. I did try 'cdrecord -scanbus' & it didn't work with my hardware. 'iostat -eN' gives me an illegal option error. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
