Hi, You mis-typed the kernel option. Look at what I typed and you re-typed. Not completely sure of the 1245dx but my 1245ca has _limited_ options in BIOS and has no option w/ regards to mic. I've previously filed a bug @ http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=9308
