I have been working for Linux past 3 years and switched to Solaris recently. I have been asigned with Solaris Support Engineer for: [code] Configuration : Sun-Fire-T1000, 8 Core processor with 4 zones. OS : Solaris 5.10 Generic_120011-14. The Job includes supportt for Server updates,Installation of project specific components/patches, Server maintenance during disaster[/code] 1. Command to check if its 8 core processor 2. How can I know zones configured on the system 3. Does Solaris 10 indicated Solaris 5.10? 4. I have Ubuntu Linux On which I installed VirtualBOx. On top of that I have different instance running one of which is Opensolaris?How can I relate zones with Instances? All I read is Zones are Virtualized OS running on some directory like /export/zones/zone1..zone10..? 5.How many zones can be created under single Solaris OS?
