I can't seem to get clear font rendering in 2009.06. I use Microsoft fonts in Ubuntu, openSUSE, freeBSD, etc. and they are all perfectly clear.
In 2009.06, I use the Gnome desktop and have tried every combination of hinting, etc. None of the tahoma, arial type fonts work, though helvetica is usable. Is there any replacement for freetype (like Fedora's freetype-freeworld) that will help, or any other way to improve the situation? Thanks. Don -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
