Hello: I installed a new Seagate 1.5T hard drive and installed OpenSolaris2009.06. Everything runs fine. But after I installed sun-cc development suite and gcc and VirtualBox, I checked "zpool status," I was surprised to find out that there were "permanent" errors "ZFS-8000-8A" in the file
rpool/ROOT/opensolaris: <xf0555> Does this really mean I have a defective hard drive? But it is a new drive !!! How can I find out what file is indicated by the name <xf0555>? Prior to installing addition software, all pools were reported to be healthy. Do I need to reinstall sun-cc, gcc, and virtualBox since I don't have backup?
