you certainly need to save a xorg.con with your X Server setting tool, then edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf and set/test the correct frequency (60, 70 or 75 Hz) for the external screen. Once there, X will start with the settings specified. HTH Karim -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
