Hi,

With regards to your PC, if you're looking for stability from 
OpenSolaris, you should chuck the development repository and stick with 
the semi-annual releases. The bi-weekly development builds (ala snv_117) 
undergo very limited testing. Fortunately, you should still be able to 
boot into the functioning snv_111b.
