Made a funny observation the other day - If I plug in the local display after Solaris has booted I get a login screen, but if the display is plugged in during the boot-process I just get a black screen after the grub meny (repeatable behaviour). I use an old no-brand CRT and my guess is that the new xrandr 1.2 for dynamic config of screens somehow get confused during change of resolution and refresh rate at start-up.
