I've had great success with snv_81 and running X/OS linux
( RHEL de-enterprised)
Hardware: $350 AUD box, MSI K9MM-V mainboard, AMD64 4000 (dual core)
2Gb ram, 160Gb SATA disk, Intel PRO100 ethernet card.

But, at home, on my more expensive system, when I copy files from
the ufs filesystem to the zfs filesystem, it reboots. This happens
only when running the xVM kernel.
Hardware: MSI K9N SLI Platinum mainboard, AMD64 4600 dual core
4Gb ram, 2 x 250Gb SATA disks, Nvidia graphics card.
Solaris: snv_82

I try to keep my boxes simple, I loaded snv_82 onto a 60Gb partition,
created a partition (type 19) with a Linux boot CD and use that for
my ZFS pool. This way, I can reload Solaris and not loose my data
partition.

I reloaded again, with the SATA disks in different controllers.
Still crashes copying big files (10Gb+) from /export/home/zones to ZFS
/zp1/zones/.
I tried snv_84, last night, the MSI K9N SLI Platinum system failed in 1 min
when copying large files from /export/home to ZFS, the
"el cheepo" box works fine.
