I think I got around this issue for now but I would still like to get a hold of another samba/zfsacl install for Solaris 08/07. I am anticipating finding more issues along the way with this version.
BTW - I got around this problem by disabling acl checking in samba Add this to a share definition: acl check premissions = false This message posted from opensolaris.org
