I have a system* that I upgraded from b84 to b85 last night.  Now, I can't log
in at all with GNOME - either as root or a "normal" user. I get to the point
of a few system "trays" such as the clock have loaded, and then the bug
notifier screen pops up, and everything starts crashing. It says it's
collecting data, but then that it wasn't able to collect enough data. It
reports that the trays (such as volume, workspaces, etc) crash individually.
At this point, GNOME is effectively dead. I can cancel out of the bug
notifier, but another one immediately pops up. (I have to admit, I forgot to
try CDE.)

Is this known, or should I work on reporting more info? And if I should work
on reporting more info, how should I go about doing that? What would be
helpful to know?

*system details if it matters: Q6600 w/Intel DP35DP. 8500gt card using DVI
out. Seagate 320GB ES HD. 4GB pc6400 RAM. Originally installed b82.
Upgraded (via dvd-rom not LU) b82 -> b83a -> b84 (twice as something funky
happened with the dvd when I burned the iso from Solaris) -> b85.
