What exactly would you expect showrev to show you on 2008.05 (or Nevada for that matter)? There aren't any patches for 2008.05 like there is for Solaris 10. They just don't exist (and never will, certainly not in the form as found in Solaris 10). Also, how is it's absence preventing you from installing Sun Studio 12? On 2008.05 you merely need to utter: pfexec pkg install sunstudio Cheers, -- Glenn
