Johan, 1) last few messages before the the ctrl-d and # shell prompt are as I have stated above in my previous post (edited). That is all I get from power-on.
2) the mount command shows rw for / , re my previous post . I used remount to sort that out. mount shows: / on rpool/ROOT/opensolaris read/write/setuid/devices/nonbmand/exec/xattr/atime dev=2d90002 on Fri Aug 1 17:20:28 2008 ... plus other mounts, about 30 of them, you want them all? 3) output of who -r . run-level 2 Aug 1 17:20 2 0 S 4) output of svcs -x gives nothing!!! just the # promt on the next line. 5) output of svcs -a|grep milestone gives: online 17:20:26 svc:/milestone/network:default online 17:20:30 svc:/milestone/devices:default online 17:20:26 svc:/milestone/name-service:default online 17:20:26 svc:/milestone/single-user:default online 17:20:26 svc:/milestone/sysconfig:default online 17:20:26 svc:/milestone/multi-user:default online 17:20:26 svc:/milestone/multi-user-server:default # many, sincere thanks Johan. darren This message posted from opensolaris.org
