yes, you can workaround it
in the grub menu hit 'e' there's something like:
kernel$ /platform/i86pc/kernel/$ISADIR/unix
change it to:
kernel$ /platform/i86pc/kernel/unix
then hit 'b'

also file a bug @ defect.opensolaris.org after search ;)
