I tried to uninstall various packages I don't need (mainly localizations related to Thunderbird, Firefox, Gnome).
I was then advised of an issue dealing with dependencies and the operation failed. Here is a message: pkg uninstall SUNWthunderbirdl10n-zh-TW Creating Plan \pkg: Cannot remove 'pkg:/SUNWthunderbirdl10n-zh-TW at 0.5.11,5.11-0.95:20080807T162800Z' due to the following packages that depend on it: pkg:/slim_install at 0.1,5.11-0.95:20080807T163254Z I've checked the list of the packages which are requiring slim_install and I found out that this list consists of the exact list of the packages the image-update procedure did install by default (upgrade from svn_93 to svn_95). Well, well. How can I uninstall packages? Can I basically and safely remove slim_install? This message posted from opensolaris.org
