Hello ,
I'm coming from Solaris world, and i was thinking to use OpenSolaris at home
thinking it would be easier (for me) than using linux.
But i was a bit surprised by 'nwam' and didn't like it so much... so i disabled
it.

Here is my question :
Is it possible to configure a static IP on OpenSolaris ?? and if yes can you
explain ??

He is bellow my configuration files :
/etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.8.8 opensolarisVM opensolarisVM.local loghost

/etc/netmasks
192.0.0.0 255.0.0.0
192.168.8.0 255.255.255.0

/etc/defaultrouter
192.168.8.2

/etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 192.168.8.2

/etc/hostname.e1000g0
opensolarisVM

/etc/nodename
opensolarisVM

ifconfig -a results looks normal , but i have no network ...
did i miss something ??

just in case : /etc/nwam/llp
e1000g0 static 192.168.8.8
