tmpfs is created by default in Solaris or OpenSolaris.  Check your 
/etc/vfstab and df -k output

servos:/rpool/dc/user ->grep tmpfs /etc/vfstab
swap    -       /tmp    tmpfs   -       yes     -

opensol:/rpool/dc/lw31248 ->df -k | grep swap
swap                 1698980     364 1698616     1%    /etc/svc/volatile
swap                 1698904     288 1698616     1%    /tmp
swap                 1698672      56 1698616     1%    /var/run

There is no 4 GB limit despite the size used on this server.
