Most likely grub is unable to read the menu.lst file from the CD media. Could be a bad / truncated download or a bad CD burn. (=> check md5 checksum of downloaded file, verify the media) There also have been cases of bios incompatibilities when using usb 2.0 connected optical devices, on some mainboard (=> a bios upgrade might help, or using a p-ata / s-ata connected optical device). -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
