I played around a bit with the BIOS settings for the IDE and got it running:
I used the following settings:
AHCI: enhanced
DVD-Rom on IDE1/master
but I had to attach an IDE-drive AND a S-ATA drive,
(IDE attached to IDE1/slave, S-ATA to S-ATA3)
even though I just wanted to use the IDE drive at first (for installing osol),
the S-ATA drive(s) where planned to be used as network storage for my
Windows/Linux network
but with these settings, the Live-CD boots flawless and I am installing osol to
the IDE drive right now.
I hope this helps anyone who has got the same or similar problems.
