What made you think that AI didn't support ZFS? It does (in fact it's the only file system you can use for installation). The automated installer uses ZFS as it's file system when installing. You can't customize anything related to ZFS or the Zpool that it creates, but that's merely an implementation limitation at this time and as we build out the feature set for AI this should change.
