Hi all, I need hints for a problem with OS2008.11. I installed it on a Samsung R710 laptop using the live cd, from which I am writing this mail. So the live cd works fine, but when I try to use the system installed on the hard drive I see this: boot is fine, I reach the graphical login screen, I login, gnome starts, I see nwam notification icons, i see the desktop, the placeholders for icons on the desktop and then suddenly the system reboots. The behaviour is persistent across reboots. Some more info about the box (prtfconf -v output is attached anyway): Intel Core 2 Duo P8600, 4GB RAM, audio intel 82801, nvidia GeForce 9600 GT.
I also managed to mount in the livecd the solaris partition on the hard drive (not easy: my zfs skill are, well,low), but I could not find errors in the logs, probably also because I do not know exactly where to look. The only error I could find was this one in Xorg.0.log: "(EE) Failed to load module "NVDA" (module does not exist, 0)" Needless to say, this makes me deeply depressed, so suggestions would be really appreciated!
