That's what I'm trying to do but I seriously can't find any help on how to enable and make iscsi target work on opensolaris 2008.11. I've already posted for help on that...
Anyway, what I was thinking was that if you manage to make this thing work, then that system of three raidz'ed pools, pooled and raidz'ed between them, would be able to sustain three simultaneous hard disk failures (one on each target and one local) and also it would be able to sustain a whole machine failure (at least for systems 2 & 3)...
