In my company, we use ISA server as the web proxy, all the internet access must go through it.
As It use the ntlm format, I use the 'ntlmaps-0.9.9.0.1' as a transfer. After set the proxy setting in osol, firefox was working, and the 'update manager' could get the update infos, I mean I could see there were updates. But when I wanted to perform the update, it was failed. The message showed me it cannot resolve the url. In our company, also on Windows with the isa client, we cannot resolve domain name in a console, same as in a console in osol. DNS server in our compant never transfer the requests to internet DNS server. The web broswer is working. Thx in advance! -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
