You say you installed it under VMWare but then mention seeing the screen while booting your machine. Do you mean a virtual machine or did you leave the CD or DVD in the tray or attached to the virtual machine? :-)
If it is a problem you are seeing when you boot from a drive, you need to rewrite the MBR which will remove Solaris once and for all. Here's a MS article on it, you want the /FixMbr option. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927392 Regards, Greg
